NSW Wrestling – Dispute and Complaint Resolution Process
NSW Wrestling is committed to promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and members.
To ensure that all concerns are addressed fairly and transparently, NSW Wrestling has established a dispute and complaint resolution process.
Summary of the Process
You can always reach out to Sport Integrity Australia to report a concern or an issue around Doping in sport, Childsafeguarding or vilification or discrimination in sport if the sport has implemented the National Integrity Framework . All other integrity and complaints related to the national level, should be referred to Wrestling Australia (please refer to the page here).
For state level matters within NSW Wrestling, please follow this process:

Please submit a complaint using the Complaint Form

NSW Wrestling acknowledges receipt within 5 working days

Independant Officer will be in touch with you and will reviews and seeks resolution (written outcome within 30 days)

Option to escalate to NSW Wrestling Board if you wish to or if the matter is unresolved (within 14 days after the outcome, or prior to requested)

None State-Level Reporting:
- Reach out to Sport Integrity Australia to report a concern or an issue around Doping in sport, Childsafeguarding or vilification or discrimination in sport if the sport has implemented the National Integrity Framework .
- All integrity issues and complaints related to the national level, should be referred to Wrestling Australia (please refer to the page here).
State (NSW Wrestling) related matters:
The information you provide will remain confidential and will not be shared outside NSW Wrestling without your consent. We assure you that during the review of your report, your identity and details will be kept private and will only be accessible to the appointed Complaints Committee (consisting of the Complaint officers), and if escalation is required or is relavant to the nature of the report, to members of the NSW Wrestling Board.
1. Lodging a Complaint
Any individual who wishes to raise a complaint or dispute relating to sports conduct, competition, selection, or behaviour may do so by completing the official Complaint Form.
When lodging a complaint, please provide:

Full name and contact details

Details of the incident or concern (including dates, people involved, and relevant context)

Any supporting evidence or documents
The information provided will stay private and will strictly not be sharted outside without your consent. Complaints should be submitted as soon as possible after the incident to allow for a timely and fair resolution.
2. Acknowledgement and Assignment
Once a complaint is received:

NSW Wrestling will acknowledge receipt within 5 working days.

A Complaint Officer will be appointed by the Executive Committee to assess and manage the complaint.
The Complaint Officer will always be independent from the subject of the complaint.
3. Initial Review and Internal Resolution
The Complaint Officer will:

Conduct a fair and impartial review of the complaint

Contact involved parties as needed to gather further information

Seek an informal resolution where appropriate

Provide a written outcome to the complainant within 30 days of the complaint being acknowledged
4. (Optional) Escalation to the NSW Wrestling Board
If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome or process, the matter may be escalated to the NSW Wrestling Board.

A formal request for review must be made within 14 days of receiving the outcome from the Complaint Officer (or at prior time if you wish to)

The Board will:

Review the original complaint and findings

Consider any new information provided

Make a final internal decision and notify all parties in writing.
