Secretary
Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for wrestling? Do you thrive in administrative roles and enjoy supporting the smooth functioning of an organization? If so, we have a wonderful opportunity for you! The NSW Wrestling State Association is seeking a dedicated volunteer to join our team as a Secretary.
As Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the association by providing administrative support to the executive committee and board members. You will be responsible for handling correspondence, maintaining records, scheduling meetings, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including meeting minutes, membership information, and other relevant documents.
- Assist with organizing and scheduling meetings, including sending out meeting notices and reminders to participants.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports for meetings and distribute them to committee members in a timely manner.
- Handle general correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls, and respond or redirect them as appropriate.
- Assist in coordinating and arranging logistics for association events, workshops, and tournaments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth communication and coordination within the association.
- Support the executive committee and board members with any administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including docs, sheets, and email management.
- Availability to commit a minimum of 4 hours per week.
- Familiarity with wrestling or other sports organizations (preferred, but not required).
Social Media Officer
Do you have a flair for engaging audiences and spreading the word about exciting sports events? NSW Wrestling is seeking a dedicated and talented individual to join our team as a Volunteer Social Media Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the association's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Create engaging and visually appealing content related to wrestling events, news, and athlete profiles.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media channels promptly.
- Research and implement best practices for social media growth, including hashtags, trends, and analytics.
- Collaborate with the board to develop and execute social media campaigns.
- Promote upcoming wrestling events, tournaments, and workshops through targeted social media campaigns.
- Assist in the creation and editing of videos, graphics, and other multimedia content for social media.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in social media platforms and wrestling industry.
Requirements:
- Passion for wrestling and a basic understanding of the sport.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Creativity and ability to create engaging content.
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Availability to commit a minimum of ~2 hours per week.
- Previous experience managing social media accounts (preferred, but not required).
