Disclaimer: We have tried our best to prepare a schedule for 2026 for your information, but the dates mentioned here are just our plans and subject to slight change! This page is published in late 2025 and will not be further updated. Keep an eye out on our social media accounts and the Events section of our website for more up-to-date info. 

NSW Wrestling - 2026 Calendar of Events

A provisional schedule of major training camps, seminars, and competitions for the 2026 season.

January

  • 13, 14, 15 January: School Holidays Training Camp 1 (U15)

    • Intermediate/advanced levels.

  • 18 January: Official State Titles

February

  • 20 - 27 February: Senior Training Camp & Competition in Japan. [Tentative]

    • Note: For 5 athletes invited/sponsored athletes as arranged by our Japanese partners. Our partners in Japan (who are sponsoring this) will be telling us which athletes they want to select to train with their team (based on the gaps/requirements/weigh divisions etc.) of their team. 

    • A selection criteria will apply. Elite level athletes only.

April

  • 12 - 19 April: A Week with Daichi Takatani [Tentative]

    • World Champion and Paris Olympic silver medalist. Daichi will likely assist in the kids' training camp and train with senior athletes.

  • 17, 18, 19 April: School Holidays Training Camp 2 (U15)

    • Intermediate/advanced levels. (not beginners)
  • 25 April: Wrestling Superseries Competition

July

  • 7, 8, 9 July: School Holidays Training Camp 3 (U15)

  • 11 - 12 July: Australian National Championships [Tentative] [DATE Location/State Pending Confirmation]

August

  • 23 August: Wrestling Superseries Tournament

  • TBC August: Japan Open Tournament and Training Camp (Seniors)

    • NSW Team will be participating in Japan Open 2026 again, followed by two weeks of training camp with Japan team in Tokyo.
    • A selection criteria will apply. Elite level athletes only

October

  • 3, 4, 5October: School Holidays Training Camp 4 (U15)
    • Intermediate/advanced levels. This is not a beginners camp.

November

  • TBC November: Japan Chiyoda Cup Tournament and Training Camp (U15 only)

    • Two weeks of training camp, followed by the Chiyoda Cup 2026 competiton, one of Japan's biggest and highest level U15 tournoments. 
    • A selection criteria will apply. Elite level athletes only.

Important Notes:

  • Flexibility of Dates: Please be aware that dates for training camps and seminars may be adjusted by a few days based on venue availability and other logistical factors. Always confirm details closer to the event.

  • Additional International Seminars: Similar to 2025, we are planning to bring more world-class coaches (World Champion/Olympic Medalist level) from Japan for more seminar events throughout the year. These are not yet listed as dates will depend on their availability and are usually arranged 3-4 weeks prior. Announcements will be made as soon as they are confirmed.
