The Tri-State Cup is a women’s wrestling tournament open to girls and women from NSW/ACT, Victoria and Queensland.

• The tournament is a developmental initiative that bridges the confidence and experience gap between training and full-on competition, with an alternative pathway.
• It’s a space where women’s participation can grow: on the mats, in coaching and officiating roles and as fans of the sport.

Waiver and Agreement

Please read the Waiver and Agreement form carefully. 

By selecting I Agree on the event registration form you are confirming that you understand the conditions of this waiver and agreement and consent to behave in such a manner as to not break this agreement.

On Competition Day

Age: 10 years and up

Weight divisions:

Tri-State does not use traditional weight classes. The Tri-State Cup competition model groups divisions in 5kg weight ranges, with the aim of providing three matches per person. Exhibition matches are also organised throughout the day.

Match format: Round robin.

Uniform: Visit the website for more information about the uniform requirements.

Rule set: United World Wrestling’s Women’s Wrestling rule set.

Spectators: The schedule includes a dedicated time slot for athletes who do not compete in front of men. These divisions are held first thing in the morning, from 8:00am to 9:30am. During this time, the entire facility is closed off, creating a women-only space. Out of respect for the competitors, no photos or videos are permitted at this time. From 10:00am onwards the venue is open to everyone.

Spectator fee: Free.

The Fine Print

Competitors MUST be a current member of either – NSW Wrestling/ACT Wrestling, Wrestling Victoria, Wrestling Queensland or Wrestling Australia.

State and National memberships are valid for one year from the date of registration.
