If you’re a grappler wanting to compete in freestyle wrestling for the first time, this seminar is for you!

Bridge the gap between training and competing in this highly interactive session, designed to give you the confidence to step into competition with your best foot forward.

This event is open to all genders.

What You Will Learn

This seminar breaks down the United World Wrestling (UWW) Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling competition rules into an engaging, proactive format covering:

  • The Fundamentals: Basic rules of wrestling and essential terms/vocabulary.

  • Scoring & Strategy: Basic point scoring, understanding Risk vs. No Risk, and types of victories.

  • Penalties & Game Management: Fouls, negative wrestling, passivity, and how challenges work.

This is an interactive seminar that adopts an experiential learning format. YOU WILL BE WRESTLING to help you contextualise the rules.

Cost 

NSW Wrestling Members: Free

Non-Members: $35 (Redeemable towards a NSW Wrestling membership if you join within 14 days after attending the seminar)
