Sydney Welcomes Japan's Elite: Tosu Technical High School Wrestling Team Announces November Training Week

We are incredibly excited to announce that the renowned @tosu_tec.wrestling team will be visiting Sydney for a full week of intensive training from November 10–15, 2025! 🇯🇵✈️🇦🇺

This visit marks a special occasion for our community as we welcome our friends and training partners from Tosu Technical High School in Japan. Our team has had the honour of being hosted by Tosu several times in recent years, and we are thrilled to finally reciprocate their amazing hospitality and welcome them to our home mats in Sydney.

Tosu Technical High School boasts the top-ranked junior wrestling team in all of Japan, a nation known for its wrestling prowess. The school is a powerhouse of talent development, having produced a long line of famous Japanese wrestlers, including World Champion Masanosuke Ono, Takara Suda, and many other highly accomplished athletes.

Although our visitors are in the junior age group, their technical skill and intensity are world-class, making them ideal and challenging training partners for our senior athletes. This is a rare opportunity to train with and learn from some of the best up-and-coming wrestlers on the international stage.

Training will be held each night at a different NSW-affiliated gym, giving our members the unique opportunity to train alongside these high-level international athletes across the city. Sessions are open to all Wrestling NSW members, and athletes from other states are warmly welcome to join.

The training itself will be free of charge, though a small casual training fee may be applied at the discretion of the individual hosting gym.

How to Register

IMPORTANT: You MUST register [Link] if you are planning to train in any session that is not at your own home club.

• For example: If you are a Sydney University member who wants to attend the Tuesday session at Agoge Wrestling, you must register.

• However, as a Sydney University member, you do not need to register for the Wednesday session held at your own club.

For safety and planning purposes, this rule will be strictly enforced. Strictly, no registration = no entry.
